Games of the Week (19th February-25th February)

World of Warcraft
Not a lot achieved again, I got the Warden paragon toy which is nice though I’d rather have had one of the mounts. Unless there are paragon mounts still to collect I’m now doing more on my Druid.

Guild Wars 2
Back to work so not quite as much done as last week, we’re midway through season 3 chapter 4.

Dragon Quest Builders
Chapter 2 is wrapped up and I’ve just started chapter three, got the first teleportal. This time I’m doing my best to make my town seem sensible and look good. It does occur to me I could take snapshots to uploud. My biggest dissapointment is how rooftiles are handled, the camera doesn’t work well with a proper roof. Feels like maybe they could go invisible when you enter a room or something.

Stellaris
Apocalypse is interesting, I think hyperlanes is perhaps more interesting though I am really missing wormhole travel, waygates are not quite the same. I think the slowness of hyperlanes is my only complaint about Apocalypse, waiting ten minutes for a fleet to travel from one end of your space to the other is just so slow when you’re used to it been maybe 4 or 5 wormholes. Other issues include the multiplayer desync’ing which hasn’t been fun but hopefully when that’s all sorted it’ll be great again.

Games of the Week (12th February-18th February)

World of Warcraft
Feel a bit silly but finally worked out why there was no story for the Paladin class hall, I had to do the Light’s Heart quest. Oops, bit further on it and I did a few levels on my Nightbourne Mage. Also naturally all my emissionaries I really need to swap to do them on my Druid as he’s the alt I would like to do some mage towers on. Also I finally completed what a long strange trip it’s been! The lunar festival was nice and easy to finish off.

Guild Wars 2
Playing with the same friend again we did the seven remaining living world season 2 chapters and then all of Heart of Thorns, we’ve just stepped into Bloodstone Fed. After sitting on it since HoT’s release I’ve finally finished the fourth set of Nevermore requirements. I’m at 56 mystic clovers so I might just wait for the chest of loyalty to finish it up. I still need to recomplete Auric Basin and Tangled Depths for their gifts as well, thankfully I have my WvW gift already.

Dragon Quest Builders
I’m now right before the chapter 2 boss and still loving the game. After the Golem fight I’ve decided against high rise construction, the golem jumped right threw my flats and destroyed about ten private bedrooms in one jump. I was also pleased to find they’d changed the speed running challenges as to me it’s not the sort of game you speed run, it’s more of a take your time and design and craft your town, so it’s nice that I don’t need to replay to unlock things.

Games of the Week (5th February-11th February)

World of Warcraft
I’ve only done emissionaries this week, just wasn’t in the mood for wow.

Guild Wars 2
I played again with the same friend from last week,  we did a quick tour of the desert hero challenges so that he could master Mirage, given that he only had the Raptor and the rest of the mounts it turned out were story gated (honestly I just thought you had to do the hearts) I took my Mesmer so that I could portal, so I ended up also mastering mirage. After that we went through living world season 2’s first episode. Feels so dated now but I guess season 3 and 4 have been of a much higher quality. We managed to level my friend’s crafting proffessions to 500 and craft him an ascended weapon but the armour is going to take a fair bit longer, he’s keen to go condition damage so we worked on his HoT masteries but still one last one to go before he can purchase the needed recipies.

Dragon Quest Builders
I’m at the golem fight as so far I’ve really enjoyed it, not sure how many chapters there are but loving the nostalgia, Dragon Warrior Monsters was one of my absoulate favourite games growing up. Besides my own personal home the rest of the npcs live in a high rise block of flats I affectionately call NPC Tower. I was positively delighted when Slimepert (I hope that was his name) joined my town, hope you can get more monster town members soon. Also I guess I have to unlock the creative or free mode, I checked the game had one before I bought it

Games of the Week (29th January-4th February)

I was away Monday to Friday with school, so I didn’t play much this week.

World of Warcraft
Very quiet, I unlocked my allied races, made a Mage and a Warrior, the Mage has got to 21 so far. I used my 110 boost on a Paladin whom I’m having issues with – the class hall missions aren’t available to me, so far it let me get the first troop and the research and my other two weapons. My Hunter has now entered Draenor. I did manage to finish the seasonal event meta achievement pretty quick which was nice, just the Lunar festival to go for the long strange trip meta.

Guild Wars 2
This week another another friend decided to give Guild Wars 2 another go, he was level 79 but we got him to 80 and then finished off the base game, we nipped quickly into each expansion to get mastries and elite specs unlocked and also the raptor. This week it was the new legendary focus that was tempting me but not one of my characters routinely uses foci, which is a shame as it looks so cool.

League of Legends
Rediscovered my love of Tahm Kench, it’d been months since I played him and he seems a lot more sturdy than when I last played him.
